Description
Angoris Schioppettino from Colli Orientali del Friuli, Italy.
Tasting Notes: Pale ruby red with purple hues. Intense, grapey berry aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry with a slightly peppery edge. Dry and medium-bodied, with prominent yet fine tannins, elegant structure, and plenty of spicy acidity.
Fun Fact: Schioppettino is a rare native Friuli grape, grown on the historical Stabili della Rocca cru — the name comes from the Italian word for "little firecracker," said to reference the crackling sound of its skins during fermentation.
