Description
Château La Coste Les Pentes Douces Blanc from Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, France.
Tasting Notes: A rich, complex, and powerful nose with notes of candied fruit, white fruit, and lemon, with a slightly spicy, floral side and a beautifully citrusy Vermentino finish. Round and smooth in the mouth, fresh on the palate.
Fun Fact: A blend of Vermentino and Sauvignon Blanc grown on limestone slopes. Château La Coste's 200-hectare estate has a winemaking tradition dating to Roman times, though its modern era began in 2003 when art collector Patrick McKillen bought the property and turned it into a "Wine, Art, and Architecture" destination, with a cellar designed by architect Jean Nouvel.
