Description
Costa di Bussia "Luigi Arnulfo" Barolo, Bussia, 2017, from Piedmont, Italy.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of dried cherries, wild red plums, tobacco, and singed herbs lift from the glass. Generous ripe red berries spiked with sweet spices are held by soft tannins, finishing with a hint of warmed earth.
Fun Fact: A tribute to founder Luigi Arnulfo, this Barolo from the celebrated Bussia cru is a selection of the estate's best grapes — Arnulfo, who acquired the property in 1874, was among the first to export Barolo to the United States, sending a shipment to San Francisco importer Carlo Rossi in 1883.
