Tasting Notes: A pronounced sanguine character, with notes of salty bacon alongside the appellation's signature depth and structure.

Fun Fact: Domaine Piaugier's original six hectares were planted by Jean-Marc Autran's great-grandfather Alphonse, who once had to haul barrels down the hill by mule to sell his wine. In 1947 he built a new winery lower on the road, where the Piaugier cellars still stand today. Jean-Marc took over from his father Marc in 1985, and his daughter Maude now farms alongside him.
