Tasting Notes: A brilliant, flowery bouquet of fresh lemon, lime, gooseberry, white peach, and linden flower, with exotic hints of grapefruit and a touch of vanilla. Fruit-driven, luscious, and pleasing on the palate, where vanilla notes temper Furmint's vivid acidity alongside considerable minerality and extract.
Fun Fact: MM55 — "the bigger brother of MM5" — was released on founder Lenz Moser's birthday, September 5th, as a blend of the estate's best grapes, sites, and barrels. Co-founder Rita Takaró, a DipWSET holder, and Moser aim to establish Tokaj's dry Furmint as a serious rival to the world's great whites — Burgundy, top California Chardonnay, and Austrian Grüner Veltliner among them.
