Description
Ma'd Moser, MM555, Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos, from Grand Tokaj, Hungary.
Tasting Notes: A blend of Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Sárgamuskotály (Yellow Muscat), with a brilliant, deep golden hue and amber reflections. A captivating bouquet of dried apricots, honeyed citrus peel, orange blossom, and exotic spice, joined by caramelized sugar, figs, and raisins. Luscious and sweet on the palate, with saffron, ginger, and toffee layered through a tropical finish, all lifted by vibrant acidity.
Fun Fact: "6 Puttonyos" refers to the six baskets of individually hand-picked, botrytized grapes used per barrel of must — a measure of the wine's concentrated sweetness. This special batch, sourced from the exceptional 2013 vintage, was made in partnership with esteemed winemaker Áts Károly at Grand Tokaj, celebrating the world's oldest sweet wine appellation.
