Tasting Notes: Deep red with violet hues. Black fruit like blackberries intermingles with gentle spices — black pepper, damp earth, native forest notes, and a hint of graphite. Firm structure, silky tannins, and medium-to-high acidity give it balance and a persistent finish.
Fun Fact: A 50/50 Carménère and Syrah blend that began almost by accident — Australian winemaker John Duval, who started working with Ventisquero in 2003, was so taken with the Apalta vineyard that he made his own experimental blend, which became the first vintage of Vertice. It's earned scores as high as 93 points from critics.
